Add the things you want to compare. Pick between two at a time, then send a friend your list and see where you agree.
What should I put in my list?
Use one clear question: which would you watch again, which would you choose tonight, or which is your favourite? Mixing those questions halfway through makes your ranking harder to interpret. Start with four to eight choices you know.
How do the pairs become a ranking?
Pickaside inserts each new option into your existing order by asking you to compare it with options already placed. It does not ask every possible pair. If your choices are inconsistent, the resulting order may not capture every preference; you can move options up or down when you finish.
What if I don’t know an option?
Leave it unchecked before starting. During voting, open “Don’t know one of these?” to leave it out and restart with the remaining choices. You need at least two familiar options. Leaving something out does not put it last.
How do I compare with a friend?
Finish your ranking and choose “Invite a friend.” Your friend ranks the list before seeing your order on screen. The comparison counts how many pairs of shared options you put in the same order. It measures agreement on this list, not personality or compatibility.
Can I edit a ready-made list?
Yes. Open any starter list and choose “Edit title & options.” Add, remove, or rename options in your copy, up to 16. The public starter stays unchanged.
